Dr. Tonbarapagha Kingdom
 

Dr. Tonbara’ Kingdom who holds a first-class Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries, from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology Port Harcourt, started his higher education in the premier fisheries institution in Nigeria (the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos), graduated with Doctorate degree in Hydrobiology/Fisheries from the Department of Animal and Environmental Biology, University of Port Harcourt in 2012. He is presently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Studies, Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State.

His research interest range from fish environmental survey to fisheries biology and management with emphasis on shellfish and fishing gear studies. He has several publications to his credit and has been involved in several consultancy projects in Niger Delta. He is currently the Bayelsa State Secretary and Assistant National Secretary of the Fisheries Society of Nigeria (FISON), as well as a member of Nigerian Environmental Society (NES).

He is married to Mrs Edith Ebimoboere Kingdom (an Agricultural Economist) and blessed with two children, Dengimoere and Zuobomowei. His hobbies include cooking, travelling, reading and playing soccer.
